![]() ![]() Regarding the backpacks, they were updated with the last patch and are more effective now. For that reason, we keep refining the food system without changing too much. Speaking of hard, things like food and other needs are obstacles the players have to overcome and making the system too simple and accessible leads to the game becoming too easy, an issue that kept appearing during early stages of Early Access. ![]() It's complex and that's why we keep requesting screenshots and/or savegames which can be send to Otherwise, we've got a hard time finding a solution in specific balancing situations. Soldiers need to be close to food sources because they "stick" to the camp. The kitchen's food is preferred to other food. if everything is in the range of vikings, if berries are accessible (they eat them instead of fish, if they are easier to obtain and closer). The reason is, that many things got influence on that, e.g. It's difficult to figure out why vikings starve despite food producing buildings are there. Please consider looking into this game you made and check out the food wants to the food thing is, that food issues are very specific to the game situation. I do apologize for I tend to say what I think and I am blunt about what I see. I really want to enjoy other aspects of the game, but can't because the food and deliverance is a BIG problem. And I have tried to play it at all angles. The demands for food is way way overboard. Maybe inplement backpacks for all.to carry more resources. I have only been abled to build things that go with the food production chain. And then things like the hunter's kills get eatten before she can place them in the hut, because she carries one meat.at. It is amazing how much the fisher catches nothing and the hunter misses (5 times it missed a huge boar when it was right in front of the hunter). Is there a hidden level to reach? Once in the kitchen it should not be retrieved out just by a passing should be locked into the kitchen.kitchen is useless as of now because of my first words above. There are solutions to this type of horrible balance.Īllow the fishery to continue to fish and not stop at 5 fish.Īllow the food production buildings have carriers and maybe inplement a market stall (small and can be poped up like the campfire).or have a dinning hall.( where nothing but food is place and it is allotted 2 or 3 carriers).Īnother issue how does one do the kitchen when all the items needed for the cooked meal is eaten before it can be cooked? You do not see this as a problem Mbassador? Oh and not to mention they wiped out all berries. I had 5 fisheries, 4 Hunters, 2 bread makers.village of 38 people and still vikings were starving. You can play the game and no vikings will starve to dead, but it never feels like you have control or like you can overproduce food. Still seems like the system needs more work. I thought the update would fix this situation but at some point people just start screaming for food even if you have it at your food producing buildings. And then at some point when people start to starve they will all go there and grab the food at the fishing hut. Even if you have a courier, the courier seems to ignore the fish or just take 1 fish. Which would be great, if the kitchen would do it.Īnd if you have a fishing hut outside of the village, it will stack 5 fish and stop working. People at storages seem to prioritize other goods and only pick up food if they have nothing else, so storages won't accumulate food. However, the people in the kitchen seem to be lazy, because even with food stacked in food producing buildings, they just don't fill up their supplies (1 cook and 2 additional workers at the kitchen bakeries all around, fishing huts within courier range). But I think they will go to the nearest food location first. So they will travel to mushrooms, berries and food producing buildings, that are far away. It seems people go long ways to search for food. ![]() After 25 hours this is still a mistery to me. ![]()
